» Welcome to the unofficial Bellingham Dirt Jump Park website!

Development and hosting for this website is provided by Devoted Design and the Western Washington University Cycling Team. The Bellingham DJ Park is now officially open. We are working to get a permanent host and domain for this website to keep park information updated for park users. Please be patient as this process may take a little bit of time.

NEWS (April 2005):

Over the past few weeks Pat along with volunteers from the community, WWU Cycling, GoHuckYourself.com and the WHIMPs have been putting in some time to fix the park up. The baby line has been removed and a few tables will replace it. In the coming weeks the park will be Hydroseeded to grow grass on the none jump faces per the original plans. Check out some of the latest photos, links are below.

Special Thanks to:

Brief Overview:

In November of 2002, David Waugh, an eighth-grader at Assumption Catholic School, fired off an e-mail to Mayor Mark Asmundson, saying that Bellingham needed a place for dirt-jumping enthusiasts to go.

Seven months later the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board approved a plan to turn an area on Puget Street north of the Bellingham Skate Park into a community dirt jump park. Volunteers from the WHIMPs, Western Washington University Cycling Club, and other community members have agreed to put in whatever grunt work is required to complete this project. Freeland & Associates have prepared a site plan which has been approved and will see the project through to completion and RAM Construction will be donating hours of heavy machinery work to prepare the jumps.
